Dining Al Fresco? Here’s where to go for Patio Dining in Atlanta

Patio dining is all the rage in Atlanta these days. Pick your al fresco locale and chow down.

Midtown Patio Dining

Lure

Lure has scenic patio dining.

The tastes at Lure will reel you in.
Escape to this seafood haven on the summer patio for yellowfin tuna ceviche and chilled shrimp with homemade cocktail sauce plus a signature cocktail. Try entrees such as steelhead trout, Georges Bank sea scallops with pork belly and a tomatillo salsa verde, or fried Louisiana catfish with summer succotash.

Buckhead Patio Dining

Bistro Niko
Find yourself in a Parisian bistro in the middle of Buckhead at Bistro Niko. When the patio beckons, there are few better places to watch life go by. Share a mushroom and cheese tarte flecked with Gruyere and fontina, or classic coq au vin with steamed potatoes and pearl onions. During brunch, hanger steak with eggs and pommes frites or a quiche Florentine can be paired with either French roast coffee or a festive champagne cocktail to toast the day.

This Buckhead gem is a contemporary seafood tavern highlighting the flavors of chef/owner Pano Karatassos’s Greek roots. Settle in the secluded patio to order Mediterranean staples like eggplant and cucumber-yogurt spreads, grilled octopus and signature spicy lamb pie. Also try seafood delicacies like prawns saganaki (giant prawns braised in tomato sauce with ouzo and feta) and the restaurant’s specialty: grilled, whole roasted fish basted with olive oil and lemon.

Here, you’ll find authentic dishes reflecting contemporary Mexican and Latin cuisine. Cloaked in greenery, this secluded patio overlooking Peachtree Road is perfect for viewing busy city life from a social distance. Molés are made in-house, and blistered shishitos and flaky empanadas make nice accompaniments to Alma’s cantarito with el Jimador Reposado, fresh citrus juice and Tajin. Takeout is also available for this Latin experience to-go.

West Midtown Patio Dining

Bold Monk Brewing Co.
Enjoy a taste of Europe when you enter this peaceful respite on Atlanta’s upper Westside. With a beer hall-inspired dining space in the protected entry area, a wooded beer garden accessed by bridge and a wide selection of house-brewed Belgian-influenced beers, Bold Monk Brewing Co. transports guests to the centuries old villages found throughout Europe. Bold Monk is open for indoor dining, to-go and delivery with a menu featuring Belgian fries, pizzas, mussels and the famous Abbot sandwich–a stack of pastrami, grilled knockwurst and Gruyere cheese.

Old Fourth Ward Patio Dining

Superica
This upbeat Tex-Mex dining joint at Krog Street Market makes a mean queso fundido, which will pair nicely with your not-so-sweet Texas Star margarita. Follow up with an order of Tacos al Pastor and house-made guacamole. The patio and dining room are both open with social distancing measures in place, and curbside pickup is also available.

Many of Atlanta’s restaurants are open and ready to serve visitors safely. Workers follow a set of state-mandated guidelines such as dining room capacity limitations, increased sanitation and gloves and masks for servers in order to keep everyone as safe as possible.
