Established in 2004 and occurring in 16+ cities, The National African American Male Wellness Walk (NAAMWW) organizes an annual 5k to increase the life expectancy of African American men. Each 5K aims to provide vital health screenings for blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, HIV, STD/STI, and prostate cancer for men who may not be seeing the doctor regularly. We help men understand illnesses can be prevented or managed, and black men can live healthier longer lives. All are welcome to participate in the walk and health screenings for free.
