What do we mean by “significant other?” It can be a spouse or a romantic partner, but it can also be a business partner, a sibling, or a parent. Significant Others highlights the music of Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel and the artwork of Sonia Delaunay, both accomplished artists who have often been overlooked as the "other halves" of their more famous male collaborators. Wörtmeyer believes that artists achieve their greatest potential by inspiring and supporting each other as equals, particularly when bound together by the powerful force we call love.
