Get ready to groove at the Beacon Hill Concert on the Decatur Square with four hours of 70s and 80s dance tunes from local favorites John Boy and Surround Sound, Lakeside, and the legendary Brick.
The event will feature Black and Indigenous food truck vendors. Attendees can also bring their own food and drinks to enjoy.
This free event is open to the community (and visitors!) and is a time to celebrate and reflect on its history, including the stories of Beacon Hill, a vibrant Black community in Decatur destroyed by urban renewal practices during the 1950s and 60s.
Come early or stay late to explore the downtown Decatur’s shopping and dining options.
