All February long, join the Museum as we highlight African American leaders in science, art, and innovation! Throughout Black History Month enjoy interactive storytimes, hands-on activities, exciting experiments and so much more.

Get inspired by the work of artist Alma Thomas in the Art Studio. Explore the lunar cycle like mathematician and astronomer Walter McAfee at the Science Bar. Engineer an elevator to safely transport passengers like inventor Alexander Miles in Jane's Innovation Station. Gather at the CMA Stage for Storytime featuring Ablaze with Color: A Story of Painter Alma Thomas by Jeanne Walker Harvey and illustrated by Loveis Wise. We will also play a game of "Red Light, Green Light" and learn about the life and legacy of the great inventor Garret Morgan.
