We’ve all seen and felt Davy’s spectacular tribute shows to Rory Gallagher and now in post-Covid 2021 arrives his aptly named Mascot Label debut “ What Happens Next”. More than just the Blues power trio of Back Door Slam, Davy is a roots singer-songwriter who also wields a mighty Rockin axe but now adds his timeless and cohesive writing, showcasing all we already knew in sleek modern production with 12 songs as influenced by the Black Keyes/Gary Clark jr/Fantastic Negrito as they are Muddy/Kimbrough/Burnside.
 
He has shared the stage with heavyweights The Who, Jeff Beck, Gov Mule, Lynryd Skynyrd, Joe Satriani, Pete Frampton & Hagar led Supergroup Chickenfoot so redirecting his ability as a brilliant guitarist via that soulful emotive voice to showcase his new material was never in doubt as it weaves through brawny riffs, jazzy blues, and vintage vibes.
