Each year, to kick off Farm Worker Awareness Week, farm-working students and community members from South Georgia visit the state capitol to learn about the legislative process and meet with elected officials. Before the event, our dedicated South Georgia team provides training on topics such as voter registration, the legislative process, identifying representatives, and effectively communicating priorities. This initiative empowers individuals to take an active role in their communities and amplifies the voices of farm workers in politics.
