On the third Monday in January, people across the nation come together in the spirit of civic responsibility and volunteerism to honor the legacy of Atlanta’s most well-known civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Since 2017, Atlanta History Center has commemorated his life by offering free admission to the public and serving up a variety of educational programs that explore his legacy. This year, we’ll be looking back on past celebrations and sharing related resources that can be explored safely from home—including a special Author Talk featuring authors Stephen Kendrick and Paul Kendrick with Atlanta Student Movement leaders Charles Black and Rev. Dr. Otis Moss.
