GHS Marker Dedication:
Booker T. Washington HS

Please join the Georgia Historical Society for the dedication of a new historical marker for Booker T. Washington High School. The dedication will take place on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Booker T. Washington High School, 45 Whitehouse Drive SW, in Atlanta. GHS, the Rich Foundation, and Atlanta Alumni Association of Booker T. Washington High School, Inc. will unveil a historical marker about Atlanta’s first public secondary school for Black students. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early as parking is limited. There is limited parking on Whitehouse Drive and parking is available in the school parking lot behind the school at 1000 Beckwith Street.
