Hammonds House Museum closes out 2022 with a dynamic multi-medium exhibition by Atlanta-based artist Tracy Murrell. The exhibition is titled "Dans l'espoir d'un Avenir Meilleur (In Hope for a Better Future) ... Exploring HaitianTransmigration." Murrell's on-site installation for Hammonds House Museum begins in Gallery A with moving encaustic rice paper that she hopes will transport the viewer to the Haiti that she experienced. She has created life-sized sculptural elements of the people she met, will share a video installation of images she recorded, as well as her signature silhouetted resin portraits of women who have transmigrated to the US.
