Runners and walkers alike are expected to join at Chastain Park in Atlanta on Saturday June 17 to raise funds for African American youth literacy and to promote awareness of a pivotal point in American history. The Juneteenth ATL 5K race, founded by Dr. Lawonda X Reeves, enters its 3rd Annual celebration of freedom while encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle. The race day begins at 7:30 am with participants being led in a short warm up. All finishers will receive a T-shirt and race medal.
