The inaugural Literacy Walk encourages participants of all ages to go the extra mile for literacy. Hosted by The Junior League of Atlanta (JLA), the Walk raises awareness of literacy with proceeds benefiting the JLA and its work with local community organizations engaged in literacy and language development for children and adults. The family-friendly, fall event will feature face painting, a celebrity reader, treats for the whole family, and vendor tables for adults and children to learn about local efforts they can get involved with to promote literacy awareness.
