President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Pullman private railcar, recently gifted to the Southeastern Railway Museum by Norfolk Southern, will be open with paid admissions for free docent-led tours on Saturday, June 12, and Sunday, June 13. FDR used this car to travel between Washington to Warm Springs from 1933 through 1940; it has been termed the first 'Air Force One' but without wings. Interior tours of this authentically restored car will only be available a few times each year. Don't miss this rare opportunity to see the inside of a true piece of American railroad history!
