SCAD's electric BAM! Black Artists in Music concert celebrates Black History Month and Georgia Day and will include generation-defining songs by Georgia legends like Otis Redding, Gladys Knight, Ray Charles, James Brown, André 3000, and more. Across R&B, soul, jazz, spoken word, and the infectious beats of the Gullah Geechee drummers and dancers, the evening's program will illustrate how Black musical artists from Georgia have been the driving force behind much of America's cultural history.
BAM! will kick off at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28 at the Buckhead Theatre. Tickets are $20 for the general public. For tickets and more information, visit: scad.edu/bam-ATL
