Workshop: Fiction

Calling all middle school writers! This generative fiction writing workshop will encourage students to imagine big. Innovation is the goal. Students will use pen and paper as tools of invention. The line between real and imagined shifts all the time. At one point, computers and smartphones were the subjects of dreams. Now, they play a central role in many of our everyday lives. So much so that it’s tough to imagine a world without them. Students in this class will engage narrative techniques such as character and plot development to begin dreaming up their own (im)possible stories and (im)possible worlds.
