Stand & Witness: Art in the Time of COVID-19
CDC Museum Opens Multi-Media Exhibition Showcasing Works Borne of the Pandemic
In many ways, artists are first responders, to repurpose a term often used in public health and emergency response. Soon after people started isolating in March 2020, artists took to their studios, desks and Zoom to bear witness to and process the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the pandemic, they continued to serve on the frontlines of COVID-19 interpretation.
Their works – visual, written, recorded – are the subject of a new exhibition mounted by the David J. Sencer CDC Museum in Atlanta, June 17, 2024, through October 24, 2024.
