It's Election Season, and November 8th is right around the corner. If you're looking for a way to remind everyone in your life that it's time to vote, make sure to join us for this subversive cross-stitch workshop led by Christy Petterson, co-founder of Indie Craft Experience!

Cross-stitch is a type of embroidery in which the needlework creates images that look pixelated. In recent years, cross-stitch has become a vehicle for craftivism, (craft + activism) and used to assert diverse identities and demand social change.

In this hands-on workshop, we will learn how cross-stitch became subversive, and also the basics of this medium by creating our own cross stitch designs and turning them into reality. We'll provide the hoops, needles, embroidery floss, and patterns for you to use -- just bring your passion!
