The Golem: Storms
of the South

Distillery of Modern Art, an amalgamation of distillery, gallery, event space and cocktail lounge, presents The Golem: Storms of The South, an immersive theater experience on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 7 p.m. to 9 pm. For one evening only, guests can take a journey into a 19th-century New York marketplace where Jewish immigrants are busy selling their wares on the last day of Hanukkah. Incredible real-life stories will be revealed of how they escaped the Storms of the South, ten years of persecution in Western Russia, and discovered freedom upon reaching American, but brought with them something they could never have imagined - tormented and tortured ghosts of the villagers' past.
