The Best New Year’s Eve Parties in Atlanta

We’re counting down the best New Year’s Eve parties in Atlanta as we prepare our locals and visitors to turn up for 2020. So, raise a glass as we say, “Bye Felicia,” to 2019 and, “How You Doin’ 2020!?”

CONCERTS

• Widespread Panic  | The Fox Theatre
  The funk rock jam band returns to the ATL for a three-night concert, or, in other words, “Christmas Round Two” for all ya spreadheads.
  
• STS9 | The Tabernacle
  Catch Sound Tribe Sector 9 (STS9) as they perform for four nights in a row at the Downtown concert hall. 
  
• Dada Life | Believe Music Hall
  The Swedish DJ duo will be throwing the biggest EDM party in town with other featured electronic artists, plus an NYE countdown balloon drop with glitter, confetti and more than $5,000 in cash and prizes.

DOWNTOWN

1. New Year’s Celebration-Splashing ’20s  | Georgia Aquarium

Highlight: To raise funds for its many conservation programs, the world’s largest aquarium hosts guests donned in black and white cocktail attire as they discover the attraction’s many aquatic wildlife areas. 

2. Atlanta NYElectric New Year’s Eve Countdown | Westin Peachtree Plaza

Highlight: Located 73 stories above the streets of Downtown, this poppin’ NYE party features an open bar with top ATL DJs and complimentary party favors. 

3. Downtown Countdown | The Southern Exchange at 200 Peachtree St.

Highlight: Claiming to be Atlanta’s “biggest, most talked-about NYE mega-party,” the glamorous large event venue will feature “an exhilarating night full of entertainment and topnotch party luxuries like a premium open bar, gourmet food menu and a midnight champagne toast.”

4. Gatsby’s Penthouse | Ventanas Rooftop

Highlight: Continuing this year’s Great Gatsby theme, party on the rooftop of the Hilton Garden Inn with skyline views, Top 40 playlists, access to Ventanas’ helipad, complimentary party favors, hors d’oeuvres and more.

5. Brew Year’s Eve | Georgia Freight Depot

Highlight: Enjoy a wide selection of beers all night at this historic freight depot turned Downtown event space with two live DJs, NYE party favors and a midnight champagne/beer toast.   

EASTSIDE

6. Atlanta Wine Festivals New Year’s Eve  | City Winery

Highlight: Located in Ponce City Market, the popular music venue will feature an “all-inclusive party with a premium buffet, liquor, beer and great wine options plus live music and DJ.” 

7. New Beers Eve | Front Page News & Tijuana Garage, L5P

Highlight: Get weird in Little Five Points for Atlanta Beer Festivals’ annual NYE party, which offers more than 40 beer options.

8. NYEAV 2020 | East Atlanta Village

Highlight: This neighborhood block party is one for the fam. See fireworks, live bands and enjoy free hot chocolate until the “Midnight Rooster Drop” (not a joke). 

9. New Year’s Eve at NWB | New Realm Brewing

Highlight: Guests can enjoy an open beer plus liquor bar and full dinner buffet (see link for full menu). Entertainment provided by a live band and DJ in a heated dance party tent.   

MIDTOWN

10. New Years Eve with Electric Avenue | Park Tavern

Highlight: This party literally has it all. Open bar, check. Hors d’oeuvres, check. Sushi, check. A midnight champagne toast, check. S’mores, check. ’80s’ cover band Electric Avenue, check. And a midnight breakfast buffet including Krispy Kreme doughnuts, double-check.

11. Domaine New Year’s Eve | Domaine

Highlight: Formerly known as Opera, the Midtown club will have multiple rooms each with different music and ambiance. Partiers will also have access to a six-hour open bar, a five-star gourmet buffet, plus a 1,000-square-foot LED wall, ball drop and more. 

12. Down With The Decades | W Atlanta – Midtown

Highlight: Dance through the decades in the hotel’s renovated Living Room beginning at 9 p.m., with unlimited drink tickets available and a midnight munch food bar with select VIP tickets. Enjoy live music from Close To Midnight and DJ Black Box Disco.

WESTSIDE

13. New Era, Who Dis? A MORPH X SFQP NYE Party! | The Bakery

Highlight: Located off the Westside BeltLine Trail, Southern Fried Queer Pride is throwing a wild party with host Winter Soltice and drag performances by JayBella Banks, Dotte Com, King Perka Sixx and Miss He.
