Take a voyage to discover how Atlanta became Hip Hop’s center of gravity. Full of visionaries and innovators, it changed the city, popular music, and American culture forever. FOR-EVER-EVER.
This four-week course kicks off with Outkast: The Future Happened: part lecture, part listening party. Dr. Regina Bradley, co-host of Bottom of the Map and author of Chronicling Stankonia, details how Atlanta’s renowned duo created an alternate universe.
From there, learn about The Trap Bang Theory at The Trap Music Museum. A custom tour takes a layered look at how Trap artists address systemic social issues in music and beyond. Then, explore the Hip Hop Place Lab with local makers.
