FLOWERS x SEEDS –
African Diaspora Art Museum

"Flowers x Seeds" celebrates contemporary African diaspora art and culture. Each year we “give flowers” to a GA-based artist who has dedicated their career to amplifying the African diaspora and who has been largely under-recognized by the broader art world. Simultaneously, we “plant a seed”, recognizing an early-career artist whose works expand our understanding of the African diaspora!

In 2024, we honor Spelman Professor Emeritus, Dr. Arturo Lindsay as our FLOWERS recipient! Dr. Lindsay’s academic and studio work has been a critical intervention of African spiritual and cultural retentions in Latin American art. We announce our SEED closer to the event.
