Cynthia Mokotoff
Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Cynthia Mokotoff is responsible for the overall people strategy of Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) which includes human resources and management of ACVB’s board of directors.
Mokotoff is a member of the national and Atlanta chapters of Society for Human Resource Management, Destinations International, and Alumnae and Women of Emory. She serves on the board of trustees at the Center for the Visually Impaired, sits on the organization’s development and audit committees, and chairs its rebranding initiative. Previously, she served as a co-chair of the SHRM-Atlanta Community Affairs Committee.
She joined ACVB in 1999, holding administrative roles in operations, finance and corporate events, supporting the board of directors, ACVB annual meeting and Atlanta Hospitality Hall of Fame. Mokotoff has continued to advance in her career at ACVB, earning promotions to director, human resources in 2006, vice president in 2019 and senior vice president in 2024. Prior to joining ACVB, Mokotoff worked in operations management for FAO Schwarz.
She earned her Associate of Arts degree from Oxford College, Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Emory University and Master of Science degree in human resource development from Georgia State University. Mokotoff holds senior professional in human resources (SPHR) certification from HR Certification Institute and senior certified professional (SCP) designation though Society for Human Resource Management.
