Cindy Moss to Retire from Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau

Cindy Moss, citywide sales executive at Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), will retire from the organization at the end of June 2026. Moss’s decision comes after a distinguished 26-year career with ACVB, where she played a pivotal role in driving large-scale group business to the city.

As citywide sales executive, Moss focused on the corporate market and California-based associations within the tradeshow sales team. She specialized in securing high-impact business for groups requiring 1,000 or more rooms on peak nights. Throughout her tenure, she produced thousands of leads and secured millions of room nights, delivering a massive economic impact for Atlanta’s hospitality industry.

“Cindy has played a key role in our sales success for nearly three decades,” said Charlene Lopez, executive vice president and chief sales officer, Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB). “Her ability to secure multi-year conventions for major associations and corporations has left a lasting mark on our city. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication and the expertise she brought to our team every day.”

Moss’s hospitality career spans 40 years. A graduate of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, she began her journey on the operations side of the business, spending a few years in front office management. She later transitioned into sales, eventually serving as director of sales and marketing overseeing two downtown Atlanta hotels before joining ACVB.

During her time with ACVB, Moss worked both from the Atlanta headquarters and remotely from Chicago. Following her final day with ACVB, she and her husband, Robert, along with their two French bulldogs, Wellington and Chuck, plan to enjoy retirement in North Carolina. The move marks a return to the South, where they look forward to enjoying warmer weather, sunshine and being close to the beach.
