FIFA World Cup 26™ Teams Up with Atlanta’s Own Dallas Austin to Debut the Sonic ID

Track celebrates the sound of Atlanta; Now available across streaming platforms

The Atlanta World Cup Host Committee and Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens unveiled the regional Sonic ID for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™. The track and accompanying visualizer, titled The Sound of Atlanta, were produced by Grammy Award-winner Dallas Austin and are available immediately across streaming platforms (all can be accessed here).

“I wanted our Sonic ID to be something truly special—something that embodies the essence of our city and its rich culture,” shared Austin. “That meant incorporating elements of marching band, hip-hop and pop music, all while capturing the unique spirit of Atlanta. As a city that lives and breathes music, it had to be the best, and I’m proud of how it turned out.”

The 2026 FIFA World Cup™ will be the biggest football tournament in history, featuring 48 teams competing in 104 matches across Canada, Mexico and the United States. FIFA introduced the Sonic ID initiative to celebrate diversity, creativity and the unifying power of sport through music. Each of the 16 Host Cities selected an artist to remix the Official FIFA World Cup 26™ Theme to represent the sound of their respective communities. The result is an anthology that showcases the essence of the host regions, taking fans on a unique auditory journey.

“Atlanta has always been a city that sets the tone, both culturally and musically. The unveiling of the Sonic ID, produced by our very own Dallas Austin, is yet another example of how we showcase our city’s creativity and global influence,” said Mayor Dickens. “This sound captures the energy, diversity and spirit of Atlanta, and we’re thrilled to share it with the world as we build excitement for the World Cup.”

“Atlanta has long been recognized as a global music hub, shaping the sound of popular culture across genres,” said William Pate, president and CEO, Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau. “From hip-hop and R&B to gospel and beyond, Atlanta’s influence resonates far beyond its borders, making our city the perfect stage to celebrate the universal language of music and sport.”
