GALIFF is produced every September–October during Hispanic Heritage Month by the Georgia Latino Film Alliance (GALFA) — an Afro-Latino curated, nonprofit, multidisciplinary arts organization dedicated to developing, promoting, and amplifying Latino culture through cinema, music and entertainment.

Since 2011 we've grown from 12 films and 150 viewers at Georgia Public Broadcasting into the fastest-growing Latino film festival in the Southeast, featuring 2,000+ submissions and 2,500+ attendees yearly from 18 countries across Latin America, Spain, Georgia and the United States.
