Juneteenth Celebration

Join the City of Hapeville for its annual Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration on Friday, June 19! From 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., a series of educational and entertainment activities will be held to celebrate a day synonymous with freedom and culture. The Hapeville Depot Museum will hold Genealogy Workshops at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. History lectures will occur at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and a Juneteenth Panel Discussion will be held at 3:30 p.m. Just around the block at Jess Lucas Y-Teen Park, an array of festivities including live music, dance and poetry performances and food trucks will be take place from 1 – 6 p.m. Bring the whole family to enjoy face painting, interactive crafts, inflatables and games!
