Celebrate the legacy of Joe Sample, the legendary keyboardist and composer who co-founded the iconic Crusaders. Experience a night of musical magic as we pay tribute to his extraordinary contributions to jazz and beyond.
Sample's unparalleled artistry seamlessly blended genres, taking the Crusaders from hard bop to a unique funk style infused with R&B. As a trailblazer in the jazz-funk movement, he shaped the evolution of The Crusaders into a pioneering fusion group. On his own, his performances on the acoustic piano were renowned for their lyrical phrasing and crystalline sound.
