On May 4, 1972, in Derry, Ireland, a ten-year-old Richard Moore was shot with a rubber bullet fired by a British soldier on the edge of his school’s playground. He returned to his school, attended university, became a successful businessman, founded the organization Children in Crossfire, became an accomplished musician, married a wife, and had two children. In 2006, Richard met the soldier who shot him. In this talk, Moore will speak on compassion and his journey from a child who was a victim of the conflict in Northern Ireland to finding freedom in forgiveness.
The program is free and open to the public, and registration is required.
