The 14th Dalai Lama is a beloved global leader who has shepherded the Tibetan people through great loss and tragedy. As communist China tries to control Buddhist reincarnations in Tibet, how might this next stage in Tibetan history unfold?
Carole McGranahan is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Colorado. Dr. McGranahan is a scholar of contemporary Tibet and conducts research with the Tibetan refugee diaspora.
