Writing takes time, patience, and practice, and people have been learning to write for thousands of years. Fun Fact: ancient Egyptian script (or hieroglyphs) is one of the oldest written languages in the world, with a history that stretches back more than 4,000 years! Have you ever wondered how to read these ancient symbols? Join us to explore the galleries and discover how hieroglyphs were used. Then create your own papyrus or clay cartouche inspired by ancient Egyptian writing.

Sunday FUNday is a free drop-in program for all families, including admission to the museum. Supplies are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
