Memorial Park Forest

The biodiversity of trees and insects in Atlanta Memorial Park is broad. Docent Mary Lillian, an enthusiastic native plant gardener and neighbor of Atlanta Memorial Park, takes you on a walk among the abundant life in this city park, as well as through stories of its historic past. Atlanta residents donated this land to the City to create a war memorial in the late 1920s, and school children planted a forest on the land. Join Mary Lillian as she shares her stories of her neighborhood park. Registration is required. This tour is free. The tour will begin across from 610 Wesley Road, which is near the intersection of Northside Drive and Wesley.
