The Atlanta Women’s Chorus proudly presents We Shake! We Shine!, a powerful and unforgettable concert experience that celebrates the enduring fight for women’s suffrage and broader human rights.
Originally conceived to honor the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, this long-awaited performance transforms a postponed dream into a radiant reality—one that blends historical reverence with bold, contemporary resonance. At its heart is Joan Szymko’s stirring Lifting as We Climb, a choral masterpiece inspired by the words and courage of women who demanded justice not just for themselves, but for all.
