Labor Day Blues Barbecue

WRFG’s annual Labor Day Blues Barbecue returns to the Park Tavern in Piedmont Park on Monday, September 7th with a great lineup of some of the Southeast’s premier blues talent. Two great blues bands will be coming from Nashville – International Blues Challenge and Blues Music Award winners, Piper and the Hard Times, and 23-year-old rising star, guitarist Yates McKendree. Also performing will be Macon, Georgia’s soul-stirring blues band, Cash’s Juke Joint, featuring Angel “Cash” Ocasio, Jr. And from right here in Atlanta, and being recognized as this year’s honoree, we’re pleased to present acclaimed singer/songwriter Diane Durrett, and her band, Soul Suga’.
