Published November 6, 2026

Ping Ping and Fu Shuang are the newest members making their home at Zoo Atlanta.
The pandas have been in Atlanta since Sept. 27, but now visitors of the zoo can see the pandas for themselves.
It’s through the International Cooperative Research Agreement on Giant Panda Conservation, between Zoo Atlanta and the China Wildlife Conservation Association. Zoo Atlanta is one of three zoos in the U.S. to have giant pandas and the only zoological organization to have them in the Southeast.

The focus of the newly renovated Arthur M. Blank Panda Grove is all about the giant pandas wellbeing. The animal’s spaces has been expanded and upgraded with new climbing structures and a pool in each with new climbing structures in the outdoor areas.
Enjoy the relaxing surroundings including water features with aquatic flora, and a dramatic sculpture celebrating a hopeful future for wildlife and the role of giant pandas as a global animal ambassador for peace and harmony.

Zoo Atlanta is open seven days a week. The panda grove is in the southern part of the zoo with a few different ways to get there.
Connected to the Zoo is Grant Park, which is Atlanta’s oldest park.
