As the most welcoming capital of creativity, Atlanta makes art a big part of your experience, especially during the FIFA World Cup 2026™. Several locations across the city will host soccer-specific art exhibits. Don’t miss them.
The Airport

Those flying into Atlanta can see the art, beginning at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026™, the airport unveiled a new, permanent exhibit, “Blue Skies,” honoring the airport’s 100th anniversary. The exhibit displays artwork by local high school students that represent various national soccer teams. See it in Terminal T.
Michael C. Carlos Museum

At Michael C. Carlos Museum, located on Emory University’s campus, you’ll find “Footwork: Where We Gather.” This exhibition explores how sport shapes identity, belonging and community across the city. See artwork from Atlanta United tailgates, the city’s professional soccer club, the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons training camp and even from the perspective of fans enjoying a game. The artist behind the photographs is Sheila Pree Bright. She is an International lens-based artist and a Leica ambassador. Her work focuses on contemporary American culture. The exhibit runs until July 19.
National Center for Civil and Human Rights

At National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Downtown, “The People’s Game: Soccer and Human Rights” will be on display. The exhibit focuses on how people have used the world’s most popular sport to exert influence that reaches far beyond the pitch. The exhibition explores how fans and players use the game to express themselves, dive deeper into grassroots clubs, highlight the opportunities created by soccer’s visibility and the deeper meaning of a soccer jersey. The exhibit uses AI to translate into languages other than English. It will run for a full year, from June 2026 to June 2027.
African Diaspora Art Museum of Atlanta (ADAMA)

See “The African Game” by Nigerian visual artist Andrew Dosunmu on display at the African Diaspora Art Museum of Atlanta (ADAMA). This exhibit features a month-long outdoor block party with games on a giant screen, African food from Atlanta chefs, live music and more, all celebrating the vibrant cultural intersection of soccer, Africa and Atlanta. See photographs by Dosunmu of African soccer culture, spanning from his 2006 book “The African Game.” The exhibit is at ADAMA from May 8 through July 25.
