Summerhill

Spend your time in South Atlanta in one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, Summerhill. Georgia Avenue is the main road, filled with spots to grab a bite to eat, an underground drinking parlour and plenty of patios. Cheer on the Georgia State Panthers at Center Parc Stadium, which is where the Atlanta Braves played before moving to Truist Park. Or go to Phoenix II Park, which has tennis and basketball courts, a playground and a baseball field.
Fun fact: Summerhill is home to Atlanta’s Olympic Cauldron, which was lit for the 1996 Olympics. You can find it at the corner of Hank Aaron Drive and Fulton Street.
Atlanta Beltline Trails

Two of the Atlanta Beltline trails run throughout South Atlanta: the Southside Trail and the Southwest Trail. Practice your skating skills at Arthur Langford Park, see the animals at Zoo Atlanta, grab a bite to eat at Lee + White Food Hall or enjoy some beers at Monday Night Brewing – The Garage.
