The Atlanta Wind Symphony and the Georgia Brass Band unite for an extraordinary evening of music that showcases the artistry and power of two world-class ensembles.
The Georgia Brass Band opens with a wide-ranging program: Philip Wilby’s luminous Into the Light, Kelly-Marie Murphy’s evocative Into the Darkness They Go, The Wise and the Lovely, Joy Webb’s heartfelt Share My Yoke featuring flugelhorn soloist David Sayers, and Edward Gregson’s dynamic Connotations.
The Atlanta Wind Symphony continues the journey with Gustav Holst’s beloved First Suite in Eb, Margaret Bonds’ moving Spiritual Suite, and the exhilarating Galop by Dmitri Shostakovich.
