Austin’s Erik Vincent Huey combines Appalachian storytelling, outlaw country grit, and punk-rock “Johnny Clash” energy into an electrifying live set.

A fourth-generation coal miner’s son from West Virginia, Huey’s new album, Fort Defiance debuted on the Top 50 Americana chart and was produced by Eric “Roscoe” Ambel. It features guest vocals by Tommy Stinson of The Replacements and Sarah Borges, with musical backing (on the record and on the road) by the power pop combo Starbelly.

His debut solo LP “Appalachian Gothic” was hailed as “riveting stuff, a major work” by Americana Songwriter, and “the Appalachian Tommy” by Americana UK.
