Rampant Gallery Presents: “Inhuman Becomings” by Teresa Wilson

Teresa Wilson is an artist based in the UK whose practice is rooted in the exploration of the “uncanny,” the psychological space where familiarity and strangeness collide. Drawing inspiration from Sigmund Freud’s concept of the “return of the repressed,” Teresa examines the ‘melancholy drama’ of human existence through textile, sculpture, and immersive installations. Her new exhibition invites the viewer into an alternate reality filled with strangely human-like figures and then ponders the question, “What does it mean to be human?”
