Two sisters are showcasing their artwork in both paintings and polymer clay. Marcella Hayes Muhammad's 51-piece mask collection stands apart because it transforms traditional mask imagery into a contemporary visual language she calls Plasticism. Rather than simply reproducing masks as objects, she reimagines them as living forms built from geometry, color, pattern, and cultural elements. Dianne Hayes Quarles unique approach to sculptural faces and masks in polymer clay applied to jewelry and vases has created a body of work that feels both ancestral and modern - rooted in cultural memory. Together, the sisters present a unique once-in-a-lifetime exhibition.
