Summer Safari Camp at Zoo Atlanta offers a memorable adventure for campers ages 5-14 while fostering a deeper connection to animals and inspiring conservation action.

Safari Camp is a great opportunity to engage young explorers in learning about the wild world around them and beginning their journey of conservation stewardship. Through Zoo explorations, up-close animal encounters, STEAM-based projects, hands-on science activities, environmental games and more, campers learn about attainable strategies and goals to combat environmental issues and are charged with finding simple ways that they can make a difference. Experience a summer of excitement and discovery at Zoo Atlanta’s Summer Safari Camp! Select an individual week that fits in your summer plans, or spend the entire summer with us.


Each week campers embark on a different Zoo expedition, exploring wildlife and wild places. From Marvelous Mammals to Brilliant Biomes, participants will be engaged in learning about how to make a positive difference for animals!

While Zoo Atlanta is a great place to discover nature and wildlife, it is also important that campers have a chance to experience wildlife in a more natural setting. Campers and their Educators may travel out to Grant Park (which surrounds the Zoo) to participate in a variety of activities such as nature walks, environmental research, and group team-building games.
