Atlanta’s Centennial Yards just got a futuristic upgrade. In June, Cosm officially opened its sprawling, three-level entertainment venue, perfectly timed for the kickoff of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The Space

Spanning 70,000 square feet across three floors within the city’s downtown Sports and Entertainment District, Cosm introduces fans to “Shared Reality,” featuring a massive 87-foot-diameter LED dome screen that delivers an immersive 12K+ visual experience, putting audiences right in the center of the action.
“This is our third venue, and I have to say that this might be my favorite venue so far. The energy in the building reflects the energy of the city. There is a vibrancy in what Centennial Yards has become and what it is going to become. It’s absolutely fantastic!,” said Jeb Terry Jr., Cosm CEO and President, during the opening June 5th event in Atlanta. The first public event at Cosm was the viewing of Game 4 of the NBA Finals, San Antonio vs. the New York Knicks.
Standing Strong in Downtown
If you’ve ever tailgated in downtown Atlanta, you probably know “The Gulch”—that massive expanse of railyards and parking lots tucked beneath the city’s historic 1920s viaducts. For decades, it was a bit of a ghost town unless there was a big game. Now, that 50-acre footprint is completely transformed into Centennial Yards, a development featuring apartments, a hotel and an entertainment hub with green spaces and art murals right across from State Farm Arena and Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Just steps from the iconic, reopened Steele Bridge, Cosm’s three-level Shared Reality venue is the first to open. The name Cosm blends “Cosmos” and “Coliseum” to capture both the wonder of advanced technology and the energy of a live crowd. The venue puts guests right in the middle of the action, bringing fans closer than ever before.
The Experiece

What makes Cosm completely different from anything else is a concept called “Shared Reality.” Instead of putting on a virtual reality headset for an immersive experience, Cosm uses massive wraparound LED dome screens that completely engulf the audience. It aims to transport you right into the action—making you feel like you’re sitting courtside at an NBA game or standing in the middle of a stage at a show.
You can experience the Cosm in three ways: reserve a private booth or seat directly inside The Dome, which includes multiple tickets and dedicated food and drink service delivered right to your seat. If you’re hanging out on the first or second floors, you can reserve a table in the Hall; you’re treated to floor-to-ceiling windows with beautiful views of the city skyline, along with massive, multi-view LED displays so you can catch every single game at once. If you prefer a more casual vibe, an unreserved General Admission ticket lets you explore the open seating on the third-floor rooftop and standing areas throughout the space.
With multiple bars to choose from and a robust food menu—think pretzels, nachos, wings, pizza, burgers, and desserts—you can order any food and drink via the mobile app and have it delivered right to your seat.
Watch the FIFA World Cup Games

Up next, Cosm partnered up with FOX Sports to present select FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches on the immersive screen. Cosm will showcase 40 matches throughout the iconic tournament, including all three U.S. Men’s National Team Group Stage matches (June 12, 19 and 25) and the FIFA World Cup™ Final (July 19).
“You truly haven’t seen anything until you step inside the dome. I tell people all the time that words, pictures, and videos simply don’t do it justice,” Brian McGowan, President of Centennial Yards Company, said during the Cosm opening event to the first guests of the entertainment district at Centennial Yards. “You are going to be incredibly excited.”
Tickets are on sale for the World Cup games, along with UFC fights and immersive experiences for movies like “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” and “The Matrix,” and Cirque du Soleil’s show “O.”
