Drink a Toast to Georgia Wineries

Atlanta and Georgia are home to more than 60 wineries that owe their success to premium European varieties that thrive in the North Georgia mountains, a short drive north from Atlanta.

Habersham Vineyards & Winery

One of Georgia’s oldest and largest, Habersham Winery is open daily for wine tastings. In addition to a large selection of Georgia grown and produced wines, the tasting room also features a gift shop with gourmet foods and wine-related specialty items from around the world.

Frogtown Cellars

Frogtown Cellars is located within the Dahlonega Plateau, which the folks at Frogtown predict will soon be recognized as an American Viticulture Area. Frogtown is one of the most awarded wineries outside of California. During your visit, relax on a porch overlooking the vineyards and the North Georgia mountains. Go for Sunday brunch and enjoy paninis, handcrafted pizza, cheese and charcuterie trays and more.

Three Sisters Vineyards & Winery

Three Sisters Vineyards & Winery, named for Three Sisters Mountain to the west, offers a small family farm experience. About 20 acres of grapes thrive on the mountainside property.

Wolf Mountain Vineyards & Winery

Often compared to wineries in California’s Napa Valley, the hillside vineyards and fieldstone encased winery at Wolf Mountain provide the perfect setting for enjoying wines, a vineyard wedding, Sunday brunch or a gourmet dinner. Wolf’s wine tasting area features a stone and cedar bar, adjacent cask room, wine cellar and a veranda that overlooks the vineyards.

Tiger Mountain Vineyard

Tiger Mountain is known for introducing Petit Manseng, considered a new Southern classic. Other highlights are traditional dry wines in the European style, three red blends, an award-winning (semi-dry) rosé and a late harvest dessert wine. Red Barn Café offers casual Saturday lunches on certain weekends in the summer and fall.
