Atlanta University Center Teams Head to College Basketball Postseason

Three Atlanta University basketball teams are poised to participate in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) postseason. Morehouse College is currently ranked No. 1 in the East Division; Clark Atlanta University men are ranked No. 2. Clark Atlanta women are currently ranked No. 2. The SIAC Tournament is set for March 4-7 at the Clayton County Convocation Center in Morrow, Ga. First round games will be played Feb. 28.

Colony Square will Screen March Madness

While Atlanta will not host any regional March Madness games this year, fans still can gather to watch the Madness with other college basketball fans. Colony Square will show select March Madness games on the LED screen in The Plaza March 17 through April 6.

Gas South Arena Hosting ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament

If you just love college basketball, no matter who is playing, the good news for you is that you can watch it live March 4-8 at Gas South Arena in Duluth. The Georgia Tech women will play in the tournament.

Where to Eat while Watching College Basketball

HOBNOB NEIGHBORHOOD TAVERN

HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern has yummy plans for March Madness. From March 19 through April 6, HOBNOB will offer fans all-you-can-eat nachos for up to four people for $19.95; house lager pitchers for $16; and house lager drafts (pints) for $4. In addition, HOBNOB will hand out scratch-off cards during the tournament as a thanks to guests for watching the tourney with them. Every scratch off is a winner.  Guests may not scratch off until April 7-May 31 and must do so in-house.

Looking Ahead

Mark your calendar for April 5-7, 2031. That is when the March Madness Final Four will play at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
