So you’ve moved to a new city and need to make friends. Or are just looking for something to do with people on a Tuesday night. That’s where run clubs come in. The best part? You don’t even need to consider yourself a runner to make this your new favorite hobby.
Here’s a list of run clubs in Atlanta, where and when they meet, and the skill level.
Adidas Runners Atlanta

Lace up your running shoes and join Adidas Runners Atlanta. The group meets every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at The Krog District. Those joining are encouraged to run or walk up to 4 miles at whatever pace works best for you.
Atlanta Beltline Run Club

Since many people are already using the Beltline to get a good run in, why not turn it into a running club? Atlanta Beltline Run Club meets every Thursday night at a different spot along the trail offering a 2 or 4-mile route. At the end of the run, stay for a drink or sweet treat at various local businesses near the Beltline.
Many weeks, there is a raffle where participants can win prizes. Dogs are also encouraged to join in on the fun.
Runners of all skill levels are welcome.
Atlanta Run Club

This run group hosts runs all throughout the week, open to all skill levels. They meet Mondays at 6:30 p.m. at Ponce City Market, Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at Atlanta Chinatown Market in Chamblee, Saturdays at 8:00 a.m. at Ponce City Market, and Sundays at 9:00 a.m. at Cam Kirk Studios. The runs range from 1-5 miles and walkers are welcome.

Cooldown Atlanta

Cooldown has running chapters all across the country. The Atlanta group meets Mondays at 6:30 p.m., typically at Ladybird on the Beltline, but you can find updated information on their Instagram @cooldownrunning.
Go for a 1-3 mile route, walking or running. Stick around after for giveaways, free samples and the opportunity to meet a new friend.
Front Runners
This run club is for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies, welcoming people of all identities and experiences. Find Front Runners chapters throughout the country, with the first one starting in San Francisco.

The Atlanta location started in 1990 and since then, they’ve created Pride Run ATL, which typically takes place in June. The group meets Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings at various locations. You can find specific meet-up information on their Instagram @frontrunnersatl.
Girls Who Run ATL

This all-female running club meets Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. across from New Realm on the Beltline. It’s typically a 3-mile route, and participants are encouraged to walk or run. Dogs are also welcome.
Runners of all skill levels are welcome. Post-run, many people stick around for a sweet treat at Big Softie or 3 Parks Wine Shop.
On certain Saturday mornings, the group has 5k or 10k runs on the Beltline meeting by Krog Street Market where coffee and matcha are served after. Check their Instagram, @girls.who.run.atl, for specific details.
Hills 4 ATL

Get ready to see a different side of Piedmont Park. Hills 4 ATL meets by Oak Hill in Piedmont Park. The group runs up the hill several times, sometimes sprinting, others bear crawling or doing burpees. This will be a high-intensity workout you won’t forget.
Beyond that, Hills 4 ATL offers workouts throughout the week, including morning runs, HIIT workouts, yoga classes, hiking and more. Follow their Instagram @hills4atl to stay up to date on what’s going on.
Run Easy Run Club
One of Atlanta’s largest run clubs, this group meets every Thursday morning at 6:00 a.m. at Park Tavern. Start your day off with an “easy run” as the name suggests. Some Saturday mornings, you’ll find the group doing speed workouts on a track in the city. The group even did a Beer Run in South Downtown.

Stride Club
Through West Stride, a running store in Atlanta, is the Stride Club. This free running club is open to runners of all levels with monthly group runs and organized track workouts.
Track Tuesdays happen each week for an early morning workout starting at 5:30 a.m. Enjoy Saturday Stride Club Runs that start at their West Stride location, 3517 Northside Parkway NW, for 1-3 mile route options.

West Midtown Run Club
Meeting on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at Monday Night Grove, West Midtown Run Club is a running community for people of all skill levels. The run club was started in 2012 and has grown into a running community.
