“Every crown must be earned. Every chant must be heard.”

As Atlanta prepares to take the global soccer stage with the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in 2025 and the FIFA World Cup in 2026, a new documentary series is capturing the beating heart of the city’s soccer culture — not from the press box, but from the stands.
“United We Roar” is a three-part fan-fueled docu-series co-produced by Discover Atlanta and Tantra Worldwide that digs deep into what makes Atlanta more than just a soccer city. It argues Atlanta is the Soccer Capital of the USA.
But this isn’t just a story about match days and stadium lights. It’s a story about community. About identity. About pride. It’s told by the fans who live and breathe the game — from LGBTQ+ supporters who bring boldness to every chant, to immigrant families passing the love of fútbol down through generations.
Each of the three episodes centers around Atlanta United’s six largest supporter groups — each with its own voice, rituals and reason for showing up rain or shine. Together, they form the pulse of the city’s soccer revolution.
Episode 1: United We Roar – Soccer Culture
In the series opener, fans, community leaders and local legends share how Atlanta United sparked more than a team — it ignited a cultural shift. With 70,000-strong crowds and stories of unlikely friendships, this episode sets the tone for how soccer in Atlanta became a powerful unifier across the city’s diverse communities.
Episode 2: United We Roar – All Inclusive
This episode celebrates soccer as a space for everyone. Through powerful interviews, viewers see how Atlanta’s match days have become a ritual of inclusion — where race, gender, class and identity are not barriers, but instead are banners of pride. This is the Atlanta that doesn’t just play the game, it owns it.
Episode 3: United We Roar – Soccer in Generations
The final chapter shifts the lens to the future — kids growing up with soccer in their blood and Atlanta United crests on their jerseys. Through neighborhood footage and family stories, the episode highlights how the game has become a generational language. Soccer is no longer a new passion here. It’s a legacy in the making.
This is Atlanta. This is Soccer Culture. This is us.
“United We Roar” isn’t just a documentary — it’s a love letter to the city, its people and the beautiful game. As the world turns its eyes to Atlanta, this series makes one thing clear: We’re not waiting for permission to be crowned the Soccer Capital of the U.S.– we’re already chanting it.
