Explore Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail
The Atlanta BeltLine Eastside trail is the most established area on the BeltLine with many restaurants, rooftop bars, breweries, food halls and attractions on the trail. Stretching from Piedmont Park in Midtown to Reynoldstown east of the city, the journey is full of beautiful views, great food, and street art.
1. Piedmont Park

You can’t visit Atlanta without visiting this historic park. Right off the Eastside Beltline trail, this is the perfect spot to start or end your journey. There is limited free parking along 10th Street however, there is a paid parking deck for access on Monroe Drive.

2. Park Tavern
Right in Piedmont Park, this eclectic bar and restaurant serves fun choices like burgers and sushi with a side of gorgeous park views. There is limited free parking along 10th Street and a paid parking deck for access on Monroe Drive.

3. Virginia Highland

With several fun walkable blocks, this neighborhood right off the Eastside Beltline across the street from Piedmont Park is the perfect one-stop shop for all things food, fun and fashion. Street parking is easy to find and many businesses offer free parking as well.

4. Ponce City Market

Work up an appetite by walking the Eastside Beltline Trail to this popular food hall and market. When it comes to lunch spots you can take your pick. Ponce City Market’s central food hall is home to a wealth of options. From tasty entrees for sharing at Atrium to vegan bites and drinks at Bar Vegan, you might need to make two trips to experience all the market has to offer. There is an attached paid parking lot along with a parking deck with easy BeltLine access. In case you are on your bike, safely leave it at the bike parking rack while you grab a bite.

5. Skyline Park
Give your legs a break and take an elevator ride up to the Skyline Park rooftop for an afternoon filled with family-friendly games and attractions. If you’re in need of a pick-me-up check out Nine Mile Station, a beer garden located adjacent to Skyline Park.

7. Historic Old Fourth Ward Park

Covering 17 acres, this historic park is the perfect stop if you need to relax and take in serene views. There is limited free parking along 10th Street, and there is a paid parking deck for access on Monroe Drive.

8. Illuminarium Atlanta
Immerse yourself into a family-friendly experience with laser-projected images of landscapes and wildlife. The cocktail bar with changing virtual backdrops is perfect for an adults-only evening. The Illuminarium has easy access to the Eastside BeltLine trail with onsite valet parking.

9. Historic Old Fourth Ward Skatepark
Are you a skater? Enjoy watching some cool tricks. Stop by this edgy skate park featuring bowls, ramps and rails. There is limited free parking along 10th Street and a paid parking deck for access on Monroe Drive.

10. Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall
Enjoy a patio-style dinner at Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall. This eatery prides itself on being the first outdoor-oriented bar and restaurant along the Eastside Atlanta Beltline Trail. Plenty of free parking is available in the lot behind the restaurant, and a bike rack for those riding along the trail.

11. Yay Beignet
Grab a cup of coffee along your journey at Yay Beignet. Bourbon Street meets the Atlanta BeltLine at this shop with the best beignets accompanied by delicious Ethiopian coffee. It is located right off of the Beltline for easy access, with a private parking lot available.

12. The James Room
Need a nightcap? Make the perfect transition from day to night at The James Room, located right on the Eastside BeltLine trail. This chic speakeasy lives behind a picturesque cafe and can only be entered through the bookshelf-styled doors. If you get there early, you can enjoy a cup of coffee before heading into the Speakeasy lounge which opens at 5 p.m. Parking is available in the Studioplex lot for a fee or you can find free street parking along Auburn Avenue or Irwin Street.

13. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park

Three blocks from the Eastside trail you can find Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park. Explore the 35 acres that encompass King’s birth home, Ebenezer Baptist Church and his final resting place. Free parking is available on John Wesley Dobbs Avenue between Jackson Street and Boulevard.

14. Edgewood Avenue
Step right around the corner into Edgewood Avenue. Known as a trendsetting melting pot, this Atlanta street will liven your weekend with plenty of eateries, nightlife and bars. There are several paid parking lots along the street, with free street parking on the attached side streets as well.

15. Krog Street Market
Fill up with delicious bites from the many independent food stalls in this market. There is limited parking in the attached lot, however, you can find free street parking on many of the nearby streets in the area. Krog Street market is easily accessible from the Eastside trail by foot. Plenty of bike parking is also available.

16. Krog Street Tunnel

Liven up your beltline walk with this fun tunnel that links the Cabbagetown, Reynoldstown and Inman Park neighborhoods. You can experience it by car, or on foot with safe sidewalks on both sides of the tunnel.

17. Freedom Park Trail

Looking to continue your time on the trail? Connect to the attached Freedom Park Trail for a journey filled with sculptures, a butterfly garden and farmers markets.
18. Stone Mountain Trail

If you’re into biking and exercise, spend the day along the Stone Mountain Trail which connects to the Eastside BeltLine through Freedom Park.
