The American Physical Society’s Division of Plasma Physics (APS-DPP) is bringing plasma science to life in Atlanta with a series of free, interactive events for students, teachers, and families. APS-DPP members will visit the Fernbank Museum of Natural History on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 12 to 3 p.m. ET. We will host exhibit tables displaying physics demos, including Van de Graaf generators, plasma balls, copper jumping ring induction demos, and many more. The event will conclude with a lecture by professor Steffi Diem from the University of Wisconsin talking about fusion energy and its role in the cities of the future.
