Atlanta Family Easter Egg Hunts

Hippity hoppity Easter’s on its way. One of the hallmarks of any Easter celebration is the Easter egg hunt, and the Atlanta area has no shortage of fun hunts and other egg-citing eggs-periences in some of our favorite locations.

• Magic Mondays: Egg Hunt at Atlanta History Center, April 8
  Search for eggs throughout the farm, meet the Easter Bunny and participate in spring crafts, fun and games.
• 5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Smith-Gilbert Gardens, April 20
  Fun egg hunts are divided up by age and limited in participation to ensure a quality experience. Kids will hunt in various gardens, meet the Easter Bunny, play games and participate in crafts. Pre-registration required.
• Eggstravaganza: Easter Egg Hunt at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, April 20
  Thousands of candy-filled eggs will await kids divided up by age in various gardens. Appearance by the Easter Bunny, refreshment bar available, dancing and fun. No on-site parking. Arrive early.
• Easter Eggstravaganza at The Rock Ranch, April 13
  “A Bazillion Eggs to Find.” OK, not really but The Rock Ranch is hiding more than 55,000 eggs for a free Easter egg hunt this year. Head on out for pictures with the Easter Bunny (bring your own camera), story time and a lot of fun.
• Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the city of Norcross, April 20
  This eggs-tra special egg hunt is especially for special needs kids and their families. The hunt will be be held at Rossie Brundage Park with attention to a wheelchair accessible and sensory-friendly environment. Special consideration will also be made for visual- and hearing-impaired participants. Please RSVP for for this very special event.
• Gorilla Egg Hunt at Zoo Atlanta, April 20
  The humans get to hunt the eggs everywhere else — at Zoo Atlanta, the fun’s for the animals. Hop on down the bunny trail to the zoo, where the egg-hunting gets wild. One of our favorite spring traditions returns at Gorilla Egg Hunt and more. Animals throughout the zoo will enjoy special themed enrichment surprises.
• Underwater Easter Egg Hunt and Bunny Breakfast, April 20
  How about an Easter Egg Hunt with a twist — underwater at Bethesda Park Aquatic Center? There will also be prizes, games, breakfast vendors, pictures with the Easter Bunny and more. Bring your own water-friendly basket for hunting.
• Illuminated Egg Hunt, April 13
  Experience the thrill of night time egg-hunting, enjoy games and themed crafts. Bring your basket and flashlight. Rhodes Jordan Park Soccer Fields in Lawrenceville. Pre-register by April 9.
• Natural Egg Dying at Atlanta Botanical Garden, April 13, 19 and 20
  Get ready for Easter by learning to dye eggs naturally using plants. All ages welcome.
• Easter Brunch and “Golden Egg” Egg Hunt at The St. Regis Atlanta, Easter Sunday
  Not just a brunch — but an experience. Celebrate Easter in style. This year’s theme is Alice in Wonderland. Decadent food, live music performances and more. Will include an open bar. Kids will love craft activities supervised by childcare professionals and the signature “Golden Egg” Easter egg hunt, featuring photos with the Easter Bunny, plenty of candy and luxurious prizes.
