Whether you want a traditional Easter brunch or tofu tacos and sushi, Atlanta has a restaurant — or two — that promises a celebration as wonderful as all the jelly beans you can eat.
There are plenty of Easter events and Atlanta restaurants to pick from this Easter. Here are our picks:
Hop off the Atlanta BeltLine and into Bar Mercado at Krog Street Market this Easter and celebrate with a tapas brunch. Enjoy delicious dishes such as chicken and churros, huevos Benedict and avocado toast, while relaxing on the spacious patio. Bar Mercado also is open for regular dinner service.
Donetto is celebrating Easter Sunday with extended brunch hours. Taste test your way through the recently revamped brunch menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with new menu standouts including the trout bagel, fried chicken sandwich, eggs in a basket and gnocchi. If dinner is more your style, the restaurant offers a traditional dinner service on Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m.
This Easter Sunday head to Eclipse di Luna in Buckhead for an unforgettable Spanish-style meal and lots of tapas to celebrate the holiday.
For those looking for a non-traditional Easter Sunday, head to O-Ku to celebrate with sushi and one of the best skyline views in the city. Dinner service is offered from 5 to 10 p.m.
Kyma in Buckhead is celebrating with a traditional whole lamb roast. This amazing Greek restaurant serves a selection of spreads, spanakopita, wood-grilled octopus, tzatziki and a Greek salad. Of course, a selection of unique Greek wines is included. The dinner is from 6 to 9 p.m. and costs $125 per person.
Enjoy a spectacular Easter brunch in Midtown courtesy of Lure’s new executive chef, Eric Roberts. The maritime mainstay offers a three-course, prix fixe menu for $40, including selections like pimento cheese fritters with red pepper jelly and goat cheese, blue crab Benedict and orange olive oil cake.
Looking for a laid-back Easter breakfast? Pop over to Recess in Krog Street Market and grab avocado and egg toast or the delicious breakfast sammie with soft scrambled egg, kale, sweet potato hash, roasted tomato, kale pesto and Swiss on seeded sourdough bread, to start your day. Recess also is open for lunch and dinner.
Friends and families are invited to hop on over to Southern Art and enjoy its signature brunch buffet that includes a variety of breakfast dishes, including a Belgian waffle and omelet station. The fun continues with an interactive petting zoo and a live appearance by the Easter Bunny himself.
Tiny Lou’s at the Hotel Clermont offers a non-traditional Easter Sunday brunch (what else would you expect?) and serves it on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Known for its high-energy atmosphere and exceptional, signature and seasonal offerings, STK Atlanta is celebrating Easter Sunday with a special brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Midtown steak and seafood house plans to treat guests to a chef-driven Easter Brunch Buffet featuring sweet and savory brunch essentials, a raw bar, a carving station boasting slow-roasted filet of beef and herbed leg of lamb, and a “dessert playground” that includes a create-your-own doughnut bar. A live DJ along with classic mimosas, a mimosa bar, Bloody Marys and classic brunch cocktails only add to the experience.
The Shed at Glenwood is hosting an expansive Easter brunch buffet created by executive chef Quintles Swain from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adults and kids alike can enjoy an array of brunch favorites including shrimp and grits, spring duck hash, biscuits and chicken pot gravy, Gouda cheese grits, deviled eggs, salmon, brisket; pastries and much more. The Shed’s Easter Brunch Buffet is available for $35 for adults and $15 for kids.
Diners and imbibers alike are invited to celebrate Easter Sunday over bottomless mimosas and brunch at Dantanna’s in Buckhead from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to the regular menu, brunch lovers can nosh on signature brunch dishes from the new menu at the Buckhead location including favorites like: cured salmon-avocado toast; eggs Dantanna’s style, crab cakes Benedict and heirloom tomato panzanella. Dantanna’s Downtown serves its lunch menu featuring salads, burgers, sandwiches, steaks and signature entrees along with bottomless mimosas from noon to 5 p.m.
Park Tavern hosts its Easter brunch on its expansive patio overlooking picturesque Piedmont Park. Ideal for both adults and children, guests are invited to enjoy an exuberant brunch boasting interactive stations including a Biscuit Bar serving flaky buttermilk biscuits with fried chicken, chef-attended omelet and carving stations, and a French toast and Belgian waffle station with the works as well as eggs Benedict with candied bacon, blackened salmon over warm quinoa salad, Applewood smoked bacon, sausage, garlic green beans, asparagus salad with toasted walnuts and goat cheese, pastries and a dessert bar. A special appearance by the Easter Bunny happens at noon and kicks off Park Tavern’s annual Easter Egg Hunt.
This Easter, kids and brunch lovers alike are invited to enjoy an eggcellent brunch created by executive chef Michael Bertozzi at TWO Urban Licks from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A favorite spot to brunch right on the Atlanta BeltLine, TWO Urban Licks invites guests to take pictures with the Easter Bunny at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. Diners looking for a more relaxed Easter celebration can visit TWO for dinner between 6 and 10 p.m.
One of Atlanta’s top brunch spots, The Brasserie and Neighborhood Cafe at PARISH is opening its doors early on Easter starting at 9 a.m. and going until 4 p.m. With the Easter Bunny making appearances at each table while delivering special treats and taking pictures, diners are invited to revel in house favorites like shrimp and grits, French toast, corned beef hash, chicken and waffles, and much more. PARISH closes for dinner service.
5Church Atlanta is dishing up a special Easter brunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Featured items include waffles, Greek salad, whole smoked salmon, honey-glazed ham, salmon with curry glaze and asparagus. Price is $40 per adult and $18 per child.
Atkins Park Restaurant & Bar in Virginia-Highland is keeping it simple with a few choice specials. For brunch, served 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., there’s a brie and apple tart, lamb pot pie with field green salad and Gruyere- and Swiss chard-crusted egg in the hole with choice of bacon or sausage. The supper special, served from 5 to 11 p.m., is a bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin with green beans and roasted potatoes topped with sweet mustard glaze.
Bottomless mimosas make for a juicy brunch or dinner celebration at all HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern locations. The special du jour is green eggs and ham frittata – farm fresh eggs with basil pesto, oven-roasted ham, red onions and goat cheese topped with baby arugula in maple bacon vinaigrette. The tavern also is serving its regular brunch menu.
The buffet’s the thing at Livingston Restaurant + Bar in the Georgian Terrace Hotel. Guests may pile plates high from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with featured items such as vanilla brioche French toast, Southern chicken and lemon pepper Atlantic salmon. In addition to a carving station with clove-spiced baked ham and house-roasted prime rib, look for a wide variety of salads, pastries and a dessert station. The children’s buffet includes chicken fingers, potato wedges, and mac and cheese. Price is $40 for adults, $15 for children 6 to 12, free for children 5 and younger.
Murphy’s in Virginia-Highland plates a few specials for Easter. In addition to its array of brunch selections, guests can dine on a Georgia shrimp frittata ($15) and braised short rib hash ($17). For Sunday dinner, the restaurant presents a new feature — Darby Farm’s chicken dinner with a roasted whole free-range chicken and choice of sides for two, and on Saturday and Sunday evening, the dessert menu boasts homemade Georgia strawberry shortcake.
Preferred seating is available for the sumptuous holiday buffets at all three Ray’s Restaurants. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Ray’s in the City, choose from made-to-order omelets, traditional Canadian ham and eggs Benedict, seared salmon croquettes, deep-fried Southern chicken tenders, lamb shepherd’s pie and carved bone-in ham. $50 for adults and $25 for children 5 to 10.
For a kids’ eggstravagana, head to Truva Turkish Kitchen in Virginia-Highland from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20. The younger set may enjoy egg coloring, face painting and cartoon-watching, while dining on menu items such as a waffle and Nutella, French toast, oatmeal, peanut butter and jelly, and scrambled eggs. The price per child is $5. On Easter Sunday, the restaurant serves its traditional brunch menu from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the lunch menu available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
You can always count on 103 West to put on a fabulous Easter spread and the brunch — from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. –delivers once again. Enjoy live piano entertainment, face painting and pictures with the Easter Bunny along with such delectables as Florida Shrimp Louie, roasted duck breast, roast prime rib, baked ham, roasted rack of spring lamb and a dessert display. Adults: $85; children 6 to 12: $30.
